MALLOX-OZ is an antimicrobial agent that is a mixture of two antibiotics and applied in the treatment of bacterial and protozoan infections particularly the gastrointestinal infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which prevents the growth of bacteria, where Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent with ability to counter the anaerobic bacteria and parasites. The combination is usually employed in the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, gastrointestinal infection, and mixed infection. It can also be used in the treatment of gynaecological infections, urinary tract infections and abdominal infections. It aids in getting rid of microorganisms that cause infections and alleviates such symptoms as loose motion, abdominal pain, and discomfort caused by an infection.
